Sun shining through

Problems with the A/C-Heating unit meant I had to forsake my daily walk today while I waited on the repair man to arrive.

Out on the back deck, I noticed the sun catching the leaves of this plant. Once again, I have to confess to ignorance as to its name.

If anyone can identify this plant, please let me know.
