The Big Day

What a wonderful day! With eight adults and three children in residence at the cottage, and a fabulous sunny day into the bargain, it was time to show just what the cottage is for. In the afternoon, a duck race at the shore with presentation of prizes,

Next, at the command of G4, a party, fancy dress in fact, for no reason other than fun. Games, music, outdoor play and lovely party food and snack buffet.

Then time for Frozen, a great Disney movie, before a salute to the arrival of the new Doctor, Peter Capaldi.

In the 'snap' are the backwards facing man, a big fairy, a monkey, badger and scary zebra, a gangsta, a cheery clown,Princess Merida and Batman. G5 is not visible but is entirely baffled by the whole event. The camera is held by pirate Jack Sparrow!

In the midst of the dancing our next door neighbour popped by to borrow the wheelbarrow and encountered all this. She's been lying down in a darkened room ever since.

But ... the spirits of the cottage , Ron and Girlie, are surely smiling!
