By the end of the day had got the hang of it.

Lance was distraught though as earlier he had got his phone stolen.
I know it was only a phone, but it had all his contacts on it (no copies made). He even had a number for Sarah Palin (I kid you not). he had arranged to give her a telephone interview as part of his dissertation. Now he's got to try and find her number again. Ok, he can get hold of his TV news-reporter buddy to help get her number again - well he would if he had his phone-number. Bugger.
