There and Back Again

The second day of our Scotland weekend. Another great breakfast and then a quick drive to the Nevis Range. Here we took the Mountain Gongola up Aonach Mor before walking on to a fabulous viewpoint over Fort William and well beyond. We also enjoyed the mountain bikers on the World Cup downhill course.

We drove back through Glencoe having enjoyed it so much yesterday and wanting to view it facing the other way around! We stopped at a couple of points including that featured in today's blip which was a few miles on from Glencoe just off the A82. A beautiful area, we will return. Further on we took a diversion or two, some of the smaller lochs so calm and beautiful.

Our ultimate destination was Edinburgh as we had tickets to a show but there was enough time to get over to see the Forth rail and road bridges in the sunshine. The car was dropped back at the airport and we took the lovely new tram service back into the city to catch The Axis of Awesome live on their final night at the Fringe festival this year, they lived up to billing!
