What is it?

Walking around the garden with Zulu and I came across this guy. I hadn't seen anything like it before. It has a sparkly green body with a yellow & black striped butt like a bee or wasp. Long antennas like a gypsy moth and eyes like a spider. Then bigger 'eyes' like a dragonfly. It was interesting

I'm off to be productive on this beautiful day. I have been ignoring the construction zone of a house we are living in. I need to organize, clean and get rid of stuff! It's driving me crazy! Soon I will post photos of our new bathroom, kitchen etc....

UPDATE... Thanks to Sefferdog I now know it is a Green Orchid Bee. How cool is that name? Fun to learn something new :)
