The former cathedral of manufacturing

Dalton Mills, built in 1869, is a former large textile mill in Keighley. It once employed over 2000 workers, but today the textile industry has long since deserted it, and the building is currently undergoing renovation. Many parts have been beautifully restored, but others, like the part in this picture, still lie slumbering, neglected and derelict, patiently awaiting return to their former grandeur.
Today a small group of photographers, including fellow blipper Loveslupins, enjoyed an exciting tour of the old derelict part of the building. A huge change from my usual type of photography, and while it was a real challenge, it was good to try something different.
