Day 15: Ketch of the Day
It was another overcast day in Alaska. I can't imagine what this place is like in the winter with the long nights of the darkness. When we can actually see the sun, it sets around 930pm which I certainly don't mind.
Ketchikan is called the salmon capital of the world, so it was no surprise to see the bay full of fishing boats. Too bad I'm not a fan of salmon. Instead, I was on a mission today to look for ammolite gems. Making friends with the jeweler, I found a perfect set and got a great deal.
