Late Summer

Kind of an emergency blip - took some quick shots along the river on the way home today. But a pretty spot with a real autumn look to it as the leaves of the vine Virginia Creeper were all red and the yellow jackets were out on the New England Asters, a sure sign of fall. And Logan back up at school for most of the coming week before classes start on the 3rd.

"This was one of those perfect New England days in late summer where the spirit of autumn takes a first stealing flight, like a spy, through the ripening country-side, and, with feigned sympathy for those who droop with August heat, puts her cool cloak of bracing air about leaf and flower and human shoulders." ~Sarah Orne Jewett

Major warm front coming in a couple of days though -
