BUSTED!
So much for sneaking in close to get some shots – at least this chickadee didn’t fly away when he spotted me. After spending the summer with a macro lens, I’m finally trying out a longer lens (70 – 300 mm), and haven’t figured out what distance is best or which settings for the various circumstances. The macro lens was great for insects & flowers, but now that the birds have returned, the longer lens is necessary. Considering this is a trial run, it turned out fairly well. This was the first time the feathers showed a bit of definition. With every new piece of equipment, the learning process starts all over again. Stay tuned….
