My first batch of hot cross buns of the year. Rather than use ready prepared mixed spice this time I used ginger, cinnamon, mace, cloves and cardamon. Curiously the ready prepared mixture has fennel and paprika in it!

Perfect comfort food with lashings of butter of course!
