Autumn?

It is amazing how having to find a blip makes you see things you have never noticed before! If life has been busy recently today had the potential for being even worse. The last day with the keys for clickychick's Mum's (FredaH) bungalow and the Lodge to prepare for more guests.

I was doing the Lodge while CC worked on finishing things at the Bungalow. Knowing I wouldn't have much any chance to blip after leaving the Lodge I looked round for something to catch my eye.

We have had this Mountain Witch Alder (Fothergilla major) for a number of years and I have noticed the lovely white (bottle brushes) in spring but hadn't noticed how soon and brilliantly the leaves start to colour.
