Greylag Geese
The largest of the so-called grey geese, and the only one which breeds in Britain. Their population is swollen in wintertime by migrating geese from Iceland.
Mornings are getting nippy, but we had a beautiful day today with only one small shower, and lots of sunshine. Up early this morning as I was on duty at church making rolls and sausage for the coffee morning. This one was for the 'Shining Lights', a group of our local high school students who befriend older people in the parish, helping them with small things, household tasks, programming of electronic gadgets etc. and giving them some company. It has proved to be very successful and the money raised will be used for some treats for the old people.
A walk around the loch in the afternoon, and home to work on my pictures from Mull.
I have a huge ironing to do, but on a Saturday? No way!
Hope the weekend is grand for all of you. Thanks for visiting.
