Two Lancaster's, Vulcan and a Veteran

What an amazing day we had, we planned to go and see the historic event of the BBMF Lancaster, Canadian Lancaster and the Vulcan fly out if waddington. We got there early to the park and view but soon became clear it was full to cars so we went to a back road on the flight path to watch the toe Lancaster's arrive. We got a perfect spot so was better than on the base in the end. We then popped to warm up with a coffee then tried up get in the base. Cars a no go but on foot fine so we did that.

On the base we got to the railings to take pics and there was a airman giving out commemorative leaflets and managed to get one for Gramps, the airman chatted to him and realised he was a Veteran and 92 so said I can of better cone with me sir. I then took him airside and he went in the Lancaster, chatted to staff, was interviewed by BBC but most of all relived special memories. The airman was really happy to talk to him and hear his flying experiences in hurricane and Lancaster. He was so happy we were then all able to join him airside and got to see the pre flight checks, take offer from the runway. It was awesome and really made his day but all of ours.

I've got loads more pics when I work out how to add my Flickr to this! I struggled to choose a blip so cheated with a collage.
