Sneak Preview
Had the dubious honour of being asked to judge the photography section at the Tobermory Horticultural Show; which then grew to include all the children's entries. So I roped M in with his artistic hat on. A political nightmare - some great entries but we will be having to leave town shortly.
Fascinating business, judging. Overheard some handy tips - one should never tie their onions with anything except raffia (Dervaig school got away with rubber bands this year). And there is such a thing as a potato being too big - as was written on one of the entries' card. Apparently a winning potato should sit comfortably in a cupped hand. Managed to stop M adding 'Hands too small?' to the comment.
For this blip I was torn between these beautiful onions and a duck made out of a pineapple.
