First signs of autumn

Another long day packed with meetings and trying to sort out IT issues! By the time on the clock tower it is 17:40. I was just leaving school in time to get to the start of term "Apéro riche" at the local hotel. Prosecco and excellent food, a warm evening to stand outside on the terrace, a Friday night and no students yet in school, made the perfect ingredients to a very enjoyable evening. I have now met most of the staff, listened to conversations in Swiss German, Romansch, (High) German, French and Italian with the odd phrase in Russian thrown in! It was great to have the opportunity to meet and get to know many of my new colleagues and realise what an friendly and ecclectic lot they are.
