Landed

Not the most flattering of poses, but one which nevertheless illustrates what we're up to this week. What's missing here are the waders, raincoat and fishing waistcoat. It was just after lunch and I'd gone to the big rock to do a bit of casting practice, the water considered to be a bit high for this pool. But no-one told the salmon that. A 10lb fish that once we would have killed and eaten, but they go back these days. There is a catch-and-release policy all along the River Dee.
