Sunrise over Stonehenge
The last day of England, an appropriate end to the trip. Special early morning tour of Stonehenge at 6:15, allowed to walk among the stones as the sun rose gradually and burned away the pools of fog settling over the fields and between the stones. Thoroughly impressed by the size and scope of the famous structure, which far exceeded my expectations. Left somewhat bitterly, effectively departing the last memorable occasion of what was an exceptionally memorable trip. However, I did so with the bittersweet, yet satisfying flavor of the end of a happy life lived to its fullest, rather than the tragedy of a premature death. I have few regrets from this trip, and I know that the memories and experiences will stay with me for a long time.
The remainder of the day was spent mostly in transit: to Heathrow, boarding the plane, 8 hour flight, slight delay, taxi home, ride home. Dinner, exhaustion, sleep.
