Barnard Castle, last night in Harrogate.

Visited Barnard Castle, in the town of Barnard Castle, a vast, sprawling, castle ruin, notable for its large cylindrical tower keep. Also Egglestone abbey, a small abbey ruin close to Barnard Castle. Walked along the river. Located the ruins of Bowes Castle, a small keep ruin hidden away in a field in the town of Bowes. Cimbed extensively about the ruin and managed to reach some hidden chambers and passageways in the upper wall. Dinner at the Alexandria, then Wetherspoon's with Jacob for our final night in Harrogate
