Swamp land

We had the morning on Saunders Beach today. Had a nice walk and flew the kite (thanks for the gift Pat ... loving it!).

We then moved on to a town called Ayr which was completely dead on a Sunday so bought a few bits for a makeshift dinner then drove to the beach again ... Alva Beach this time.

Its a weird area ... a very rich sugar cane working town apparently. Everyone is driving round in big trucks and wearing cowboy hats! An odd long thin beach as well which people are allowed to drive on so loads 4x4s on the beach. And loads of these swaps all around ... watch out for crocs!

We camped in a lovely wooded area which we had completely to ourselves apart from a little kangaroo which hopped up while we were eating. We thought it was a wallaby but have learnt since it is a kangaroo ... just a little one!

Andy popped into the dive school there so is doing a refresher course tomorrow and then a dive the day after so we'll be here for a few days.
