A moment in time
A moment in time can change so many things.
With boredom setting in, anxieties running high, demands getting more frequent and tempers getting frayed, one single moment can change everything. At any one moment, a child can smile, someone can give a hug, a stranger can say hi or a telephone call can make your day.
This morning was hard work, DM is confident, independent and strong willed (no idea where she gets that from!). R wants to be big just like DM and as such will often be just as strong willed to DM as DM. Pops will happily sit and play, while Aj will happily terrorise anyone who gets in her way. As I try to get them washed and dressed, I feel my temper rising knowing that this time next week, it'll be the school run and we'll be on a time restriction. But then I try to remember; they are children and they have no perception of time or the like - they just want to giggle, play and make each other laugh.
Today we had a lovely lunch with family and friends on the park. The children happily played together; adults played and chatted and Aj ate. All were happy.
I had a phone call that I've been waiting for, one that certainly made me smile. I'm a firm believer in being kind and helpful. Be the person you wish for; good things happen to good people.
I'm far from perfect, I have many traits that are not my best qualities, but they make me who I am.
Tonight we all went to watch DM & Daddy go Rollerskating. R&P joined them and did really well going round by themselves with their zimmerframes.
