Day 8 - Market Drayton to Lancaster
The day did not start so well - rain, unrecovered tiredness from yesterday and 90 miles ahead.
However the sun came out and we somehow covered the distance without feeling it at all. After a challenging day yesterday, my very apologetic pro cyclist team mate did a great job and, somehow, we arrived early and ahead of everyone else.
Half way!!!!
I had an opportunity for a more leisurely shower and washing than usual and even managed a few minutes lying on the bed collecting my thoughts. Then Daniel arrived to break the spell. He will be doing his two days starting tomorrow. He is fresh. We are fitter than ever, but exhausted. We will see!
People continue to stop us and donate, waive bills, etc. In this vein I have been really touched by Blipfoto: they spotted what I have been doing and want to help. They have donated a free full membership of Blip which will allow me to do some extra things - more of this tomorrow - but amazingly they will write something in Blip's own blog highlighting LC4 to the whole Blip community. Isn't that nice?! Thank you Gordon.
The photo today is a selfie of my group on a bridge over the Manchester Ship Canal, a fascinating piece of industrial history.
