Hofsós

We took a detour from the main route to Reykjavík and went to Hofsós. It is very pretty hamlet.
On the way from there we had a very funny experience. Suddenly there was a huge thing in the middle of the road, it looked like a sofa. Fortunately I didn't drive very fast and could stop before I crashed into it. With closer inspection it wasn't a sofa at all but a big roll of stone wool (insulation material). We moved it off the road and continued. A little further on, we met a car that flashed its lights and the driver waved to us to stop. She put out her head and asked if we had seen a roll of stone wool. Of course I could not remember exactly where we had seen it, but I tried to explain, I just hope she found it.
