Tarragona

Today we made the best of having to drive 1.5 hours back to the airport to change the hire car by visiting the nearby city of Tarragona, which was a really pleasant surprise. It is a beautiful and historic city, with an array of Roman remains and actually had the feel of a 'mini Rome', although the amphitheatre was not quite the Colosseum! It had a number of 'Placas' with street cafes and a very interesting gothic cathedral. This is Placa de la Font complete with drinking fountain (bottom left corner next to the guy in the yellow t-shirt!).
