Different perspective of familiar places

Looking after a neighbour's cat and their garden meant visiting their house on the opposite side of the valley to ours today. It surprised me how different it looked to my normal memory of it.
Bad news day on the car when Monsieur phoned to give an estimate of the damage and potential cost. In England I think I'd have thrown the Freelander away but here probably will get it fixed this one last time. And it won't be ready until next week......
