Burgos: first taste of freedom

I chose to spend my first few hours of post-aupair life at my favourite spot in Burgos (and perhaps in the world!): at the top of the hill at the Burgos castle. There is an amazing view over Burgos from there (see 17/08/2014), and I could spend all day just gazing at the view, at the place where I've learnt so much and where I've met so many wonderful people.

I have a friend who works at the castle, who showed me the path less well-trod around the castle. From behind the castle you can see for miles over the Castillan countryside -the typical Castillan fields are dry and yellow. Many blip-worthy moments, but this is my favourite photo of the day.
