Moving on

A wee work evening in the West Room to say adieu to young Chris who is off to a new job. Shame. Good guy but these young smart guys need to move on, spread their wings. That sort of thing. But bugger it, it leaves a hole that'll need to be filled. The dispiriting experience that is recruitment. It would be nice if, once in a while, applicants for research jobs did a little bit of research.

Still, nice pub with a good selection of beers - even a tasty basic draught lager that can be quaffed all night since it's only 4%. And staff that don't mind being the only photo taken that day. And a not too late train home. All said, bordering on sensible.
