Typically Miles yells for us at least once after we put him to bed so that he can go potty or get water or ask to sit on the couch. When he goes back to bed... instead of us tucking him in again he simply says "goodnight, I love you," and shuts the door himself. Typically there are a lot of air kisses too...which he knows mama thinks is too cute so it prolongs the process of him doing what he's told (going back to bed).

Here he is tonight saying his goodnights after our water trip. When I took this picture he yelled, "no! Too many pictures!"

A memory I hope I don't ever forget: tonight while Mitch read Miles some Curious George I rested on the other side of the room. Miles looked up from the book and loudly whispered, "mama! I love you! You're eyes are pretty" then smiled at me and went back to the book. He's just the sweetest.
