I spent a great day today with a dear friend who moved to Maine about a year and a half ago. This is Range Lake and she lives just through the trees, a three minute trek to the lake. We took a kayak out and this Loon let us paddle right up to him. We could have reached out and touched him, but of course there are limits to his tolerance. What a special few moments….. As we paddled away, he sent us off with his haunting call
