Burying our heads

Went down the coast today. JUST BECAUSE. This scene of domestic bliss reminded me of "our own" swans in Kirkintilloch. Sadly, they had only the one cygnet again this year but this family of four were making the most of the wind-disturbed water to fish. Or just wash their hair.

What you can't tell in this picture is that the wind was a gale and the chill factor made it feel like minus 20. Not a day for eating ice cream at the seaside. But we did anyway!
