Traditional Final Pitstop
What a long day!
We are back in Wales. We had our usual final pit stop as we left Butterwick and called into the butchers in Freiston for the order for every one when we got home.
My family made dropping everything off by being out and about as we were passing Ross On Wye and Tonyrefail, but we managed to get everything where we it needed to be in the end.
We only brought back a pork pie for ourselves.
We were back in time to play petanque down the Barn ..
What a frustrating night. We won our first game 13-6, and played really well. We had quite a long wait for the first game for our partners to finish. This never helps the home team in my experience. When you are 2-0 up at half time you will always hope to win the match, so end up losing both our second games was really annoying.
We had our best result of the season in effect as we lost our second game 13-12, we had got to 12 first. So infuriating to get so close to our first 2-0 of the season and still not manage it. We have not lost a game in a while now if you don't count the cup game, but we just keep getting draws.
We have one more game this season to try and get it, and more importantly to avoid being fannied for the whole season we have played.
