The first day back at work today since a lifetime ago.

I saw three pairs of shoes thrown over a power line in one street today. This can mean various things, according to who you ask. It may mark a place where drugs are sold, signify the place or street where a death has occurred or, according to my source today, 'when kids get new trainers they just chuck the old ones over the line, cos what else are they going to do with them?'.

I prefer to think that they are cable cars for squirrels.
