Hedge Gap

Today was my reintroduction to the world of paper clips.

I also happened to get myself the Photographer's Ephemeris. Using it to sniff out potential locations I happened upon a lone tree just out of Hampton. So drove over there. A small matter of a road diversion and then finding the start of the path delayed my arrival. Though lone, the tree was in a shallow bowl and to my mind wasn't right. With light running short, I hesitated to drop anchor and get stuck in. Instead I kept moving on towards 'That Tree'.

By when I was stood somewhere suggesting pictorial posibilities, the sun had disappeared and light was fading quite fast. Plus the wheat had only lately been gathered and vehicles were coming and going. For some while I stood in a gap in the hedge, nonchalantly half in, half out of sight of those vehicle drivers, watching their dust trials in one field and then the other. After they had disappeared for the last time there was only the clouds to contemplate.

I headed down the slope towards Hampton a short distance. I set up intending to capture L-R clouds traversing the entire frame. Which I did, though doubtful of the composition and unhappy with the results. So in between, I turned the camera elsewhere.

The truth be told I was unhappy with all the results. In the limited time available (I'm still trying to catch up and uploading this on Thursday 21st, after returning from an attempt on today's blip), this inbetweener will have to suffice.
