Anzac
Anzac Biscuits .
First baked by families to send out to the Australian and New Zealand troops serving during the First World War . No eggs were used in the recipe so that the biscuits wouldn't spoil on the long journey to the battle- front.
Made today with H. and J.
(Mum at York Races.)
Fist off back to school to collect H's result. She just took I GCSE this year, ( only 15 and it is her first year) about 8 more to do next year.
However an "A" so we are thrilled Hannah! Very well done. You really worked hard.
Then shopping for drinks,( elderflower champagne to celebrate!) sweets, Doritos and spicy dips.
Lunch at our house. Beans on toast and Tom's tomatoes, followed by blackberry and apple pie.
Made the biscuits.
Trip to Ikea. (Got off lightly. A scented candle and flamingo glass each for the girls)
I only spent £11.00!!
They were too full at tea time so it was chips and scraps...no fish!!
Home now, and I bet they sleep well as they were both tired!
I have had a lovely day with them both!
MrC waited in all day for a roofer to call, who finally turned up at 5.30pm.
Still at least he turned up, which is more than some!
