Nuits St Georges and Beaune

We visited Nuits St Georges and Beaune today and lots of vineyards in between.

We had a great tasting in Nuits with a charming French producer.  We tried some glorious reds which ranged in price from expensive to very expensive.  The prices didn't seem so bad after we had been tasting for an hour or so.  A glass or three of Nuits St Georges was my step-father's favourite wine and we toasted him and bought a bottle for Christmas for us.  I will have to make sure I don't use it by accident in the boeuf bourguignon! in the meantime.

We went on to Beaune for lunch and had a good look around the town which is pretty and then toured around several more vineyards in the area and managed a selection of blips.  I liked this one best.
