First day in Swaledale

Unfortunately the sun went away and it was cold, misty and damp today. After spending the morning playing, we went to Reeth for lunch. I fell asleep in the car - almost instantly, but then no wonder after my late night last night! When I woke up we were in a place called the Buck Hotel, and everyone's food was just arriving. The adults didn't like their meals, they all said the quality of the food was poor. I was okay, I had my grapes to eat. I didn't like it in there either - the atmosphere upset me. So we left and headed back to the cottage.

After Rick and Lili left, Mum, Dad and I went for a walk up the hill behind the cottage with Uncle Ol and Uncle Iain. Dad carried me up the hill in the bushbaby, and Mum carried me back down, while Dad, Uncle Ol and Uncle Iain walked on a bit longer. After dinner, we did a bit of colouring in, reading and playing. And by 7.30pm, Orla was asleep! Let's hope that's her for the night....
