What struck my fancy

Three aircraft

Or to be more precise a restored Vulcan bomber, a UK housed Lancaster bomber and one from Canada; flying over the RAF Marham airbase in Norfolk but not landing.

The moment is somewhat historic because the Vulcan cannot be maintained indefinitely and is expected to cease flying in a year or two, and the Canadian Lancaster will return home.

It is therefore unlikely or impossible for these three to be seen together in the air after this tour of duty.

There were about 150 of us in a farmer's field overlooking the base about a mile away. The aircraft did a few turns over us giving us plenty of chances for taking photographs. We were touched and grateful.
