A Moment of Common Enchantment

Dear Diary,

I was at the computer and happened to look out the porch door. This caught my eye, a good 20 feet away! The sunlight was catching the web just right and it positively glowed.

These brief moments of illumination happen every day. Something will grab our attention...a shadow, a movement, a spot of light. Quantum mechanics tell us that human beings experience 40 conscious moments per second, the vast majority we overlook.

Learning to pay attention to a few of these moments each day is sufficient for me. This one I found particularly delightful...a moment of common enchantment.
