WONDERFUL BLIP DAY......
.... how good can it get - two awesome Blip meets in a week!
Today was meeting up with Miffy and Robin her husband on holidays from New Zealand, and the Blackheath Blippers. We met for morning tea at the Wattle Cafe in Blackheath, as shown here on Walking Wombats blip. Miffy and Robin had caught the train to the Blue Mountains to spend the day.
Hobbs's Run had co-ordinated and scheduled a full day for us even in the "misty rain" as shown here by isbi.
Jolang being the "wonder girl" on food and all things craft, had joined for the morning tea.
We were treated to the excotic sights of the Blue Mountains but the mist and rain did sort of put a damper on the first part of the day.
But, Hobb's not to be outdone took us to Leura Cascade falls, and after all the rain there were some stunning sights.
My pick was this one, but quite liked this little baby!!
Hobbs made sure we were fed and went to Megalong Valley Tea Rooms where we had the wonderful home made pies and isbis' favourite menu selection iced coffee.... yum.
A quick trip out to isbi & husband's farm just up the road to show Miffy the "real" wild kangaroos hopping around.
From there it was a quick trip back to Penrith, hopefully arriving before sunset to show Miffy and Robin the mighty Nepean River and surrounds. I then "poured" them onto the train at 6-45pm feeling very tired back to Sydney. Bet we all sleep well tonight !!!
A BIG thanks to Hobbs's Run for his excellent, organisation, and to Miffy and Robin for making the effort to catch up, a wonderful reason to be part of Blip......
Enjoy, and have a look in LARGE to see if you can see any frogs!!!
