New toy

This picture featuring a fountain in Dane Jon park was taken as a long exposure in bright sun through a 3.0 neutral density filter. I hoped to smooth the water but preserve the bubbles. Once I got home I played with my new toy "Aperture" (image manipulation software for Macs). This idle fiddling led to the image you see before you in all its bold oddness.

A year ago or so I tried to get to grips with Photoshop Elements but I found it incredibly baffling. Mac users who've tried Aperture seem to like it. So far I've found it very forgiving and rather fun.

Are there any comments ( + or - ) on Aperture experience/s ?
