Wedgwood Monument View

A day at work, part of which was spent in Manchester, meant no walk around the lake at my usual spot this evening. So I decided we would go to one of the highest spots around as it looked like a good sunset was on the cards.

This view is looking west towards Cheshire from the Wedgwood Monument in north Staffordshire. I don't think there was any relationship to the famous Wedgwood family. The bump in the bottom left of the photo is Beeston Castle.

I have blipped a view of the monument before, in May last year. It was cold then, just as it was this evening!!

The 360 view from here also includes the North Wales hills, Shropshire hills, The Wrekin, Jodrell Bank radio telescope, Mow Cop folly and Shutlingsloe.

The sunset wasn't bad either!!
