Kingfisher Yay !

I have been in search of kingfishers this afternoon, I had been told that they were on part of the canal I haven’t visited in a while. All afternoon people were asking me if i had seen the kingfisher and my reply was “not yet” after 3 hours of patiently waiting and walking up and down this stretch of canal my time was up and still not even a glimpse !

Then just before I got to the car guess who was sitting on the side of a lock and guess which fool had put her camera away !! ?

A quick scramble for the camera as it flew up and into a tree, luckily he / she gave me one more opportunity to capture an image before disappearing again.

NB. ( Note to self - ALWAYS HAVE YOUR CAMERA READY !)
