Pushing my luck
When I took this picture half way through the afternoon it was going to be a faintly triumphant "look what a lovely day we had, even though we had nothing planned" style blip. The children were (at the time) playing beautifully together, in an extended period of imaginative play, including cooperating on creating a whole range of pirate attire for their toys to have a pirate party...
And then, somehow, it all went wrong.
It is now bedtime. The pair of them have finally stopped bickering after what feels like hours and hours of whining and whinging. My patience took its leave a long, long time ago and I'm left reflecting that, really, a second consecutive day of "stay at home and do nothing much" was probably a day too far.
Must plan something for tomorrow. I suspect it won't get more elaborate than a trip to the shoe shop and maybe the park, but we have to get out.
Glad I took this, though, of Pirate Benji, before it all went grumpy.
