Surprisingly nice day!

Despite the weather forecast saying it was going to be cold and probably wet, today turned out quite nice! Washing dried beautifully on the washing line and the sun shining, bringing out the colours of nature.

The elderberry tree (bush?) in the gulley behind our garden caught my eye as it looked so red, zooming in you can see that the birds have stripped most of the berries from the top of the bush, leaving the bright red stalks standing out.

The purple clematis is in my neighbours garden, they are on their holiday and missing its best display so I'll enjoy it for them.

Finally the orange flowered angel wing begonia is in my garden, I bought it at weekend to go in a pot that another of my neighbours had given me, it was a bit of a cheat as it looked like a biggish well established plant - on repotting it I discovered that it is actually three separate plants put together to create the illusion! (But don't tell anyone)
