Our Tufa House in Bourgueil
I went out on route 23 today on my own. A nice little luxury of 90mins solo. William actually lay in until 08.10 which is a record, but I was well on my way by then. I have never seen so many vineyards in my life.
It was a beautiful morning with not a cloud in the sky (bar what the power station was producing) so we headed in Bourgueil for their market. The market was lovely and very busy which was nice to see. The kids were intrigued by the fact that the crabs on one stall were alive and Jim was astonished at the queue for one meat stall, which he thinks was selling horse. We didn't tell Carys this as she is only just getting over the fact that they sell Lapin in the supermarkets for people to eat!
The afternoon was spent by the pool as the sun put in an appearance. Carys has some impressive bruises from her failed attempt at gymnastics on a bike yesterday. the one on her elbow and calf are most prominent, but her shoulder is still weeping profusely. If she had any skin there it would be bruised. The plus of the morning was when she realised that the residue of the road had come out of her shoulder over night!
This is the front of the Tufa built house that we have for our holiday. It looks better in full sunlight, but the sun wasn't playing ball today.
