Cumbrian Reflections....
After Bertha's departure, a much quieter day, both activity-wise and weatherwise....
After a morning of pottering, I set out off through narrow Cumbrian lanes to walk to nearby Talkin Tarn, where I spent a pleasant afternoon, strolling around the tarn, and enjoying the views from the café terrace, across the water to the distant fells.
Back closer to home, I discovered the village notice board where I was surprised by the wealth of activities on offer for such a small village, including 'Classical Piano Lessons in Your Own Home'. I wonder if you have to provide your own piano?!
