Stonehenge

Viewed from the car on the last leg of our journey home. The only time I've seen the ancient standing stones close up was back in the 1970s. Then, you could go right up to the huge stones and touch them, and feel a physical connection with the past. These days they're fenced off, so a view from the car is as good as it gets - not worth stopping to get a few yards closer. Such a shame! Still an awesome sight, though!
