Arches National Park, Utah
This morning we had a guided hike through the Arches National Park with Mike of Deep Desert Expeditions. We met at 7.25am so we could avoid the heat of later in the day. He took us to an area called the Fiery Furnace, 14 miles into the park. The photos can't do it justice, it was an awesome sight. The size and scale of it all was incredible. We would have got lost if it wasn't for Mike - he was a great guide, really knew his stuff, an interesting guy.
We went yo the Moab Diner for an all-American lunch experience, then spent the afternoon lazing at the hotel pool...I stayed in the shade of course! Way too hot for my pale blue Scottish skin!!
We took the shuttle bus back into Moab for dinner at Pasta Jays with a couple of Pinot Grigot. Too much to eat again!
