How nice

This waited for me at work this morning. It is a "have a good year" surprise from my boss, April.

Have a good year, everybody.

It feels weird not teaching, first time in 6 years, but on the other hand it feels great generating things. I am responsible for newsletters, website content updates, another website's content, correspondence with faculty, Extension agents, and project Community Partners, and a lot of other things. I am experiencing a degree of instant gratification and satisfaction from being able to write and photograph, and not just guide others in writing (or photographing).

Ask me again after this semester; I may end up missing teaching like crazy after all...
