Shooting cars

Another day, another photoshoot. This one was a shoot-out between two charismatic hatchbacks, the new MINI and the Citroen DS3. Not entirely sure about the aesthetics of the MINI (sorry about the shouty capitals, blame parent company BMW). It looks rather long-snouted, but it drives very well. They both do. Who wins? All will be revealed in a forthcoming issue of Diesel Car magazine.

I spent some of this morning peering closely at the two cars' lights. Each has its model name built into the structure of the lamps, a nice signature touch. I would have liked a quick trip around a race track in them, but our local circuit Brands Hatch was a bit busy today, with racing motorcycles scorching around the circuit. Interesting to see that many of the riders had GoPro cameras on their helmets. No doubt the footage will soon be on YouTube ...
