I Want Some More

The birds have been somewhat absent for the garden since we got back home. I’m sure its partly because there has been no food for them, but it could also be because of next doors little kitten-cat. The sparrows made a welcome return with some newly fledged young ones. No sooner had they settled down when the cat took a flying leap off the shed roof down onto the honeysuckle where some of them were perched. You can imagine the reaction - the sparrows scattered. Fortunately she didn’t catch one. The sparrows returned eventually but a little more warily while we kept an eye out ,with a jug of water to hand, for a pair of ears appearing over the shed roof !
